So what adds nicely to this beautiful picture? Warm FOOD! Bring out the casseroles and cakes and crock-pots. Basically, anything you can make that warms up the kitchen and your belly! If you are anything like me, this is your favorite time of the year for a good soup!
There are plenty of places that serve a good bowl of soup, some with bread bowls and baguettes. Typically they taste great and are a perfect quick bite to grab for lunch or your boyfriend who’s sick (again).
But as I go from place to place and stare at the menus, it’s always the same soups. You’ve got your broccoli cheese, your chicken noodle soup, a good tomato, etc.
This year, I need something more! Something beyond the basic soup recipes that we all eat day after day. So I have scoured the best recipes out there to give you some new soup recipes to try this winter. None of these simple soup recipes are difficult to make but they will definitely make you want to stay away from the broccoli cheese for a while (If that’s possible!).
TIP: Here’s a unique gift idea! Find some really cool soup bowls, and package them up in a pretty gift basket with some great soup ingredient!
