A Stay at the Noelle, Nashville Tennessee

One of the highlights of our trip to Nashville, Tennessee was our stay at the Noelle, a Vintage Hotel right in the center of Downtown Nashville.

Noelle: Nashville, a Full Review

When booking our trip to Nashville, I didn’t put too much thought into where we were going to stay. We just wanted a Nashville hotel downtown so we could walk around without having to pay for rides. So we took a chance and booked through Priceline, not knowing what kind of a place we would get. And luckily enough we were able to enjoy a stay at the Noelle in Nashville Tennessee.

Let me just begin by saying that the Noelle was in the absolute best location possible to enjoy downtown Nashville. We were not only able to easily walk anywhere in downtown Nashville, but we could just pop back into our hotel throughout the day because it was literally in the middle of all the action. I’m not even sure I can cover every detail that we loved about this hotel, but I’ll try…

Entering the Noelle

Upon entering Noelle, you can easily see tons of vintage charm in this old building. Every square inch of this hotel has been restored, yet they managed to keep all the historic features that made this place what it once was.

We were immediately greeted by the friendliest doormen and walked straight into a charming lobby. Everything from the lobby desk to the couches and chairs are new yet vintage. The downstairs lobby consists of a fun shop where you can browse Nashville artwork and other eclectic items.

The Drugstore

On the other side of the lobby is a coffee shop called the Drugstore that we did not hesitate to visit. Not only was the coffee here amazing, but it was the perfect place to sit and relax with a great view of the busy street life passing by. Oh, and did I mention they serve lattes with whiskey and bourbon in them? Amazing!

The First Floor

Continuing on past the front lobby, there is a small concierge desk to help you with any information you may need during your stay in Nashville.

Just past the concierge desk was a vast two-story opening that led to a bar and several sitting areas. This was one of my favorite places in the building. You could have a seat in any of the vintage couches or chairs and have a quick drink before heading out for the day.

Walk around this area and you will easily notice all the historical details that were kept. From the large old windows to the flooring and woodwork. Whoever renovated this place… kudos to you!

Rare Bird – The Rooftop Bar

A Little difficult to find (you have to head to the way back of the hotel and go up a single elevator to the rooftop) but that was fine as that made the incredible rooftop area very private. Throughout the day, there were not more than a few people at a time up there. Later in the night, it got more crowded, but we never had a hard time finding a place to sit and have a drink.

The rooftop bar at Noelle was by far the best feature of the hotel (but you don’t need to be a guest of the hotel to visit it!). The views were amazing. It faced the river and the new Titans stadium. To the right was the AT&T Building in perfect view and you could see almost all of downtown Nashville along with it. I literally could not imagine a better spot to sit and enjoy a rooftop bar.

The drinks at the Rare Bird are unlike any I’ve experienced. Try the Birds of Paradise mixed drink, it not only looks and tastes fantastic, it actually changes color too! Every drink came with a cute flower and trust me, I tried several and they were ALL good.

The Rooms

We stayed in a standard King bedroom and although the room was a bit on the small side, it felt luxurious. The bathroom was also completely renovated much like the rest of the hotel, with a huge stand-up shower meant for 2… wink wink!

The beds were super comfy with big down comforters. But one of the features we enjoyed the most was actually all the technology in the room. The windows and covering were controlled electronically right by your bedside. And each end table came with a clock and several outlets and USB ports.

Don’t miss…

Don’t miss the great water station in the hallway! They provide glasses and three different kinds of water for anyone to enjoy. Great for when you are hungover… I mean dehydrated.

This fun place also has a fitness center and a private room for events. Even the private room is big and bright and has all of its vintage charm intact. Not to mention it faces the streets of downtown Nashville for a real urban vibe.

The downstairs restaurant

The Noelle also has a restaurant in the basement of the hotel. There are not many signs to point you in that direction but it is worth finding. Named Libations and Liberation, this restaurant almost made us lose our minds.

We ordered very simply, just the steak and the fish. The menu wasn’t very descriptive so we were a little unsure of what was coming. Little did we know we were about to enjoy one of the most amazing meals of our lives. The steak was PHENOMENAL. Hands down the best steak I’ve ever tasted.

I cannot accurately say what sauce they used on the steak or the side of carrots I got, but it was almost addictive it was so amazing. And the fish was a white fish that melted in our mouths. We were so happy and stuffed… this is the first time I’ve ever personally complimented the chef.

*If you go to Nashville, whether you stay at the Noelle or not, do NOT miss this great restaurant.

All the charm of yesteryear

Our stay in Nashville was way too short and unexpectedly better then we could have imagined. The Noelle was a major part in us loving our stay so much.

If we ever return to Nashville, you will find us at the Noelle. Staying at such a fun hotel has ruined us from ever staying in a boring chain hotel again.

Hi Jenny,
I stumbled across your post re: Nashville & the Noelle Hotel.

We are getting married this June and will only be in Nashville for 4 days/3 nights so finding the perfect Hotel means everything.

Would you recommend this as a good honeymoon hotel?

  I do! It’s classic and renovated. The rooftop bar is romantic. And this hotel has the LARGEST bathtubs I’ve ever seen. Literally, it was like a hot tub. Perfect for honeymoons! 😉 Plus, it really is right in the middle of downtown so you can go anywhere and not even need a car or taxi. Oh! And the restaurant downstairs… AMAZING food and super quiet and romantic. Have fun!
